Changes from the novel.

The first girl that wins the fight never draws the sword out of scabbard for 2 reasons, her cultivation is already extremely high in this competition (8th level, MC is 4th level) and second reason is that she barely controls the sword. The sword is second? (not sure) ranked sect treasure, but the reason why old farts don't fight for it is because they can't. Otherwise, there would be no chance it landed in her hands. Pretty much everyone had free chance to seek sword approval, but they all failed and trying to use it would backlash. She on the other hand succeeded by sword flying in her arms, but at this point executing anything with sword is double edged sword, she is to weak. This is why she doesn't draw it against anyone, only the stick forces that and even more

1st fight of MC... kind of disappointing, no madness from the novel and victory there was really pyrrhic.

On a side note, they showed little sister and lover, but sadly too late to invoke tune of the novel

That girl is female protagonist isn't it, the 1st female lead from the poster of DONGHUA and second will be introduced in next or 9th episode i guess and that senior sister is just side character from what I'm expecting🤔

Yes, Biyao will be in few episodes, but I doubt it will be as soon as 1 or 2. Competition hasn't finished yet, then rewards&trial, then trip on the mission, few fights... then she shows up, but there is still at least 1 episode until she gets involved in the story. I don't think they can fit so much content in 2 episodes.

Also, a little information since you said you read BTTH. BTTH is just middle of the whole story and it doesn't "really" neither start nor end, also Xiao Yan is just one of protagonists in whole story. Order is like this
- Dragon Prince Yuan (happens around 20000 years before BTTH and WDQK) and this is where fiends come from. Unlike others this one happens in different universe completely, while other happen in universe called 3000 worlds. After losing Saint race remnants (later fiends) escape the universe and try to conquer 3000 worlds.
- Battle Through the Heavens and Wu Dong Qian Kun happen at the same time 20000 years after invasion in lower level planes (order of reading doesn't matter). One world repelled the fiends (BTTH) and in one war ended in stand still with almost complete mutual destruction (WDQK) where both sides bide time for conclusion war
- The Great Ruler (happens 20000 years after BTTH and WDQK and also provides clues about invasion 40000 years ago), not to mention this one is real ending for BTTH and WDQK. This is final war with fiends on high level plane of 3000 years (like divine realm, both BTTH and WDQK end with ascension on that plane, while in TGR you can follow Xiao Yan and Lin Dong after ascension as they play quite a big role). Also, part of the story involves another lower plane where humans completely lost the war.
- The Heaven's List is short conclusion for TGR and main protagonist is half human/half fiend

So, you could say whole story is about fiends going from antagonist to protagonist

You won't be disappointed. It is short and good. Just don't expect this Harry Potter happy go lucky mood. Story has really grim representation. I have to say that while I was reading it my whole representation felt like they are in land of eternal night and desolation, but that mood is kind of must since main question is the same as "who is evil? gun... or man"

Just to prepare you on how grim it can go (this will be 100% cut in animation, no way they would ever tell this. I still tagged it as spoiler, but even for novel this is at best 3-4 paragraphs of solitary episode, so it doesn't ruin anything). When Biyao tells her history it is something like that... Her family is a member of "so called" evil sect. One day the "righteous" sect attacked their home and they captured her (3 to 4 years old), her mother and grandmother. To punish them, they buried them alive in a small cave without light, food or water. Grandmother died quickly due to the wounds. Soon, Biyao started non stop crying because of hunger. After few days mother finally found some meat and gave it to her. And so while waiting to be rescued by father mother found meat every day or two, until she stopped responding (well, even before she was mostly just smiling and comforting her). Next day she was saved, but everyone was horrified. Question, can you guess which meat she ate (small cave with no other living being?) and how mother died? (clue, not grandmother she was buried and rotting)

Omg this thing that bad?. after watching this ep Ive skipped first few chapters to read 23. Everyone has two or three names its so confusing😣. I still dont know mcs 6 fellow shidis names😅 when theyre talking still wonder wich one is this😅 and Cant believe there is so much more details in the novel that the animation skipped

You should not skip to where animation is, especially the beginning or you will miss the plot since animation happy go lucky mood omitted most things to the point it is almost impossible to continue, it is not worth 23 chapters and you get used to their novel names. Yea, sadly for some fucked up reason translator decided to translate names which is bad, but everything else is ok. It is completely different if you already meet someone with some name, than if name changes.

Also, his shidis are not important at all. The only two that come out a little are oldest and the one who has dices as weapon because he is used as novel tempo background for a moment
